GATOR-XL

INSTALLATION

PIPING BYPASS:
To dose or not to dose, that’s the question! The Gator dosing pump is best installed in a piping bypass so you can have a choice to dose or not. Specify whether you prefer ¾” Male Garden Hose Thread (MGHT) or 1” Iron Pipe Thread (IPT) connector fittings which we ship free with each Gator.

PLACEMENT:
Keep the solution container directly under the Gator to avoid kinks in the suction hose.

FILTER:
Install a filter upstream of the Gator Chemical Feed Pump with a screen size of 104 microns (140 mesh) or smaller. We offer the Spin-Down filter as it is extremely easy to clean (just once a day, open the valve that comes with it for 1 second), is transparent so you don’t need pressure gauges to know if it’s dirty, and does not require tools to open it for cleaning or service.

HIGH VOLUME:
For water flows over 2300 LPH, you can install multiple Gators. For example, for a 9,200 LPH operation, you can install 4 Gators, often at the same or less cost of  a single competitive unit of that capacity,  with  the advantage that if one Gator needs service you would still have 3 others working.

BACK FLOW PREVENTION:
Often, for rural areas with your own well, all that is required is a check valve. If connected to municipal water, you most likely need a back flow preventer. Check with your local authorities about back-flow prevention regulations, we are not  responsible for improper installation.

WATER METER:
Is optional and can be installed upstream of the Gator to know your water consumption.

PRESSURE REDUCER OR REGULATOR:
To be installed if incoming water pressure is over 8.27 Bar (120 PSI)
